Opening Event: 30 July 6pm - 8pm

Visible but Intangible:

a print exchange portfolio

Visible but Intangible explores the interplay between what we can see and what remains beyond the reach of our perception. Artists often find themselves grappling with ideas, emotions and phenomena that are not easily defined. Yet, these intangible elements shape our experiences and our understanding of the world. Through this collaborative portfolio, 38 members of Sydney Printmakers have approached this theme with diverse techniques and interpretations. Each bringing their own perspective to this idea.

Unique State: a contemporary

approach to printmedia

Unique State celebrates the freedom and innovation of contemporary printmaking. Moving beyond traditional editioning, Sydney Printmakers present singular uneditioned prints created as one-of-a-kind artworks through experimental techniques that resist replication. This exhibition highlights the dynamic possibilities of printmedia today, where process, spontaneity, and individuality are at the heart of each unique piece.

Who are Sydney Printmakers?

The group Sydney Printmakers was established in 1961 with an aim to promote printmaking in Australia and provide opportunities for members to exhibit prints on a regular basis. This objective articulated 64 years ago has guided the group ever since expanding to include regional, national and international exhibitions. Sydney Printmakers explore all traditional and contemporary forms of printmaking. A reputation for excellence in printmaking is a testament to the collective abilities of the members.
