​​What is AusArt Day?
AusArt Day is a national day of giving to the arts, led by Creative Australia. On a single day, artists and arts organisations across the country invite their communities to support the creative work they care about. Every donation, of any size, helps make art happen.

Why we're taking part
Since 1972, Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios has been a home for creativity on the Lower North Shore. We run exhibitions, visual arts education, artist-in-residence studios and community events, and the community that fills our rooms keeps all of it going. We're joining AusArt Day to share what we do with more people and to invest in the spaces where that work happens.

Where your donation goes
Our ceramics studio is one of the most loved and hardest-working spaces at the centre. Years of classes, workshops and firings have taken their toll, and we're raising $10k to give it a full refresh. Your donation will help fund:

• New kiln elements, shelves and stilts to keep our kilns firing reliably

• Improved scheduling technology to manage firings more efficiently

• New seating at the pottery wheels

• A communal kiln for external firings and kiln hire

With this refresh we can run more ceramics classes, welcome more students and open our firing services to local artists and makers.

Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios is run by Centrehouse Inc., a not-for-profit charity with DGR status. All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
