Help Secure the Future of

Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios

Due to rising operational costs and ongoing financial pressures, Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios is currently facing significant financial challenges.

At the upcoming Lane Cove Council meeting on Monday, councillors will consider a motion that could provide essential financial support to help ensure our organisation can continue operating.

As a not-for-profit community arts centre for over 50 years, we have been an important cultural space in Lane Cove and the lower North Shore, supporting both local artists while providing accessible arts education for the community.

For many in our community we are a place where:

Children discover creativity and confidence
Adults learn new skills and connect with others
Artists develop their practice and share their work
Residents experience exhibitions, workshops and cultural events close to home

Now we need your help.

Council wants to hear directly from residents about what matters to the community. If Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios has impacted you, your family, or the broader community, we encourage you to share your support. Please see below two ways on how you can help!

1. Write a Submission to Council

Submitting a message of support is simple and takes less than 2 minutes.

Step 1

Write a short message about why Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios matters to you or the Lane Cove community. Even a few sentences explaining what the Gallery means to you can help demonstrate its value to the community.

2. And/Or Attend the Council Meeting

Community support also matters in person.

If you are able to attend the Council meeting on Monday evening, your presence will help show councillors how important this space is to local residents.

One of the most powerful ways you can support Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios is by speaking directly to Council. Community members can address Council for 1-3 minutes at the Public Forum Meeting.

Even a short statement about your experience attending exhibitions, classes, or events can help demonstrate the value of our space to local residents.

To speak at the Public Forum, you must register in advance.
