Age: 5-7 years

 

A creative and fun workshop for younger children with materials supplied and a free FACE PAINT on completion of your work!!!

We will make hanging tiles that may be painted and decorated.

Motifs from easy stencils will include unicorns, rainbows, flowers, suns, planets, moons, dolphins, butterflies, hot air balloons, rocket ships and more!!!

Also, we will be pressing in shapes from stamps and adding clay as well. Finished tile size when fired will be approximately 15 cm sq.

The prepared tiles will have added motifs that will be cut with the aid of simple stencils and safe wooden tools. Slabs of clay will be prepared by the tutor and will be ready to begin work on at the start.

 

Minimum enrolments are required for all courses. Should a class have to be cancelled due to insufficient enrolments, any student enrolled in that class will be contacted and an alternative class or refund arranged.

    Lilo Blyton (Dip Vis Arts) trained in Ceramics in Tasmania in the mid 1970s and has run her own full time studio in The Blue Mountains. She has taught all ages from children to adults in classes including at TAFE level. Lilo is currently producing clay works at Open Studio at Brookvale Tafe with other students who have many different styles and a varied range of experience and training. Love of producing works in clay has been a life time passion.
