Solarplate (Photopolymer) Printmaking 2 Day Workshop
Dates: 25 July 10am -4pm AND 1st August 10am - 4pm
Price: $300 + $25 materials fee
Solarplates or photopolymer plates are versatile and a safer way to create intaglio and relief prints. Use your photographs or drawn and painted images to make plates ready for printing. Students will learn the many ways to expose plates in the sun and with the studio exposure unit. Gain experience in the various ways to print your plates.
Suitable for beginners through to more experienced printmakers.
Materials: Most materials supplied including plates, ink and paper

Susan Baran is a professional artist specialising in various safer printmaking techniques especially Solarplate printmaking. She has been a printmaking tutor for many years first teaching at the National Art School in the 1980's and currently teaching nationally and internationally in workshops like Art Print Residence in Barcelona, Baldessin Press in Victoria and the Australian Print Triennial at the Art Vault in Mildura. She is a member of Sydney Printmakers and currently President of the group, Susan is also a NSW representative for the Print Council of Australia.
