Natalie Quan Yau Tso (左君悠) is a Hong Kong-Australian emerging artist based on Cammeraygal and Gadigal country. She creates sculptures, installations and performances through bodily memories as a means to process and ultimately survive trauma. Her practice activates intimate materials including hair, salt and a new materiality she created called 'skins'– often performing with them and producing sculptures from their residues.
Natalie is completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours: First Class) at UNSW Art & Design. She has recently been selected to exhibit and undertake a residency in Hatched, National Graduate Show 2021 at Perth Institute of Contemporary Art (PICA), which is also supported by Create NSW through a small project grant. She is also currently showing at firstdraft, ANCA and is co-curating at the Waiting Room Project.
