AGE: 5 years and up
WHEN: Monday 20th January
Where: Joy Warren Ceramic Studios
A fun class of pinching clay and twisting and rolling coils to produce fun and unique gnomes to put in your garden or around the house. We’ll be using coil hand building techniques and adding on a variety of decorations letting the children's imagination roll! We will then paint them and get them ready for drying and firing.
The firing will be done after a few weeks, as ceramics require a slow drying process. These are fun and decorative items.
No Experience needed
What to bring: Clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty
A snack as we’ll be having a short recess whilst we let the pieces firm up
And lots of enthusiasm
Minimum enrolments are required for all courses. Should a class have to be cancelled due to insufficient enrolments, any student enrolled in that class will be contacted and an alternative class or refund arranged.
GARDEN GNOMES Monday 20th January 1.30-4.30pm
Dress for mess!
Whilst it's fun and exciting, making art can get messy so make sure you are wearing casual and comfortable clothes that are allowed to get a little bit grubby. Fully enclosed shoes MUST be worn at all times in the workshop.
Pack a snack!
Please note that food is not provided for students, so if you think you will get hungry during the class, bring something to eat. A waterbottle is also a good idea!
All art making materials will be provided!
