This course is designed to introduce students to the versatility of drawing and painting with a focus on visual communication, art as play, and creative experimentation. 




Valentines bouquet

Using paper collage on black paper, create a heart rose bouquet in a vase.



Valentines pop art

Inspired by pop art, create a grid of bright coloured hearts.



Draw your favourite pop culture characters.


Painting / Summer seahorse

Using oil pastels and watercolour, draw a seahorse under the sea.


Drawing / whale patterns

Using ink markers, fill in a whale drawing with tropical patterns.



Crafts / popsicle collage

Using real popsicle sticks, create some fun ice cream and ice block designs



Canvas painting / EASTER

Easter / chick in an egg

Finish paintings from last week or start a cute pop-up chick craft.


The teacher or GLC staff member will pick students up from Lane Cove Public at 3pm and bring them to the Studio.

  • Yvonne Le is an emerging artist, studying at Media Arts at UNSW Art & Design. Yvonne has experience teaching children and adult art classes and workshops across several mediums including but not limited to drawing, life drawing, painting, and hand-building ceramics. Yvonne's artistic practice is a hybrid of illustration and contemporary art inspired by romance, femininity, gender, the occult, and the high fantasy genre.
