27 February 2016
Opening with artist on Wednesday 20 January from 6pm.
Chloe Ferres is an emerging artist and photographer who currently teaches at Raffles College of Design and grew up in Lane Cove.
Ebb+ is a dynamic photographic exploration of infinitely shifting pools, the flux of the sea remains constant in a world of perpetual change.
Inspired by the hallowed benefits of bathing in saltwater and the array of harbour baths Sydney has to offer, the experimental project exposes surreal, fluid and fleeting forms.
The digital projection comprises of two layers, a stream of colour moving images and a monochrome slide show, in which light interacts to offer an abstracted impression of the sea.
The objects were collected at harbour bath locations over the course of the project.
Instant prints from the series, both exhibited and unseen, have been assembled in a hardcover book, available to view and purchase online www.chloeferres.com.au/ebb+
